Chinese Chicken and Rice

I have crafted an easy recipe that will have you whipping up Chinese chicken and rice like a seasoned pro in no time!


Ingredients:


  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, sliced

  • 2 cups basmati rice

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Spring onions for garnish

  • Chinese 5 spice

  • Cumin

  • Smoked paprika


Instructions:


  • Cook basmati rice according to package instructions.

  • In a wok or large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.

  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger

  • Toss in sliced chicken and red bell pepper, stir-fry until chicken is cooked through.

  • Pour in soy sauce, season with salt and pepper, cumin, smoked paprika and Chinese 5 spice.

  • Serve the chicken stir-fry over a mound of rice, garnish with sliced spring onions
